The Initial Sketch
For this Marketing and Branding Project
we were asked to design the cover of a Marketing Brochure
for a new restaurant. The owner described a classy photograph he saw in some print advertising and we suggested taking a photograph of the main lights he was using based on the suggestion of the Interior designer.
The challenge was that there were no lights, nor was their a restaurant yet. The renovation had yet to be completed but the marketing had to begin!!

We knew what we wanted to see for our Glamour Shot for this magazine cover. Now we had to create a 3D rendering to bring this idea to life and then post produce the imagery to make it Magazine print worthy.
Color Theory and Material Selection

The image above is the result of the Interior Designers working through a variety of materials and fixture selections. The Interior designers communicate constantly with the owners and our task was to take elements given to us by the Interior Design team and design the perfect shot to use for on magazine cover.
Depth of Focus, shutter speed and aperture selection

Once the materials and fixtures are in place we had to decide on the Depth of focus, focal length , shutter speed,ISO speed and camera aperture we were gong to use for our virtual camera. You can see from the above picture that the shot we are going for is coming together.
3D Wire frame and confirmation of Final Details

Here is the final shot of the 3D rendering and animation we are going to produce. We liked this camera angle and depth of focus but we wanted to single out the Lamp fixture a bit more or maybe not. Let's do both angle and see!
Here you can see we nailed the shot now time to produce it.
